Entertainment and Haunted Attraction Industry professionals will converge July 13-15, 2007 at the Midwest Haunters Convention and Midwest Fantasy Show to be held at the Holiday Inn Worthington (soon to be a Double Tree Hotel).  Over 1000 attendees are expected in 2007 with speakers, artists, industry celebrities and guests from around the country.    It is one of the top three major haunted attraction tradeshows held in the US.  The Midwest Haunters Convention is going strong, now in it’s fourth year.

The mission of the Midwest Haunters Convention is to provide affordable education to people that work with seasonal haunted ‘house’ type attractions including yards, hayrides and other venues.  It also features a variety of fun social events including haunted house bus tours to Fremont, Sandusky, Chatfield and Lancaster Ohio, and a Masquerade Party with ‘Ms. Scary Ohio’ pageant; which was rated as one of the top 13 Freaky Attractions in the US by AOL Online; Fall 2006!

Its’ new sister show will debut this year: The Midwest Fantasy Show’s goal is to provide educational seminars catering primarily to artists working in the entertainment industry.   The Midwest Fantasy Show classes will include makeup artistry (airbrushing, henna and special effects) as well as to juggling, magic, balloon twisting and business classes.   Social events will include a Friday the 13th Artist and Entertainers Jam Party and a special Fantasy Halloween Body Art Fashion Show.

The vendor tradeshow is free and open to the public.  Weekend seminar admission is $79; or $65 before June 1, 2007.  Separate admission fees apply for some events and for workshops.  The Midwest Haunters Convention is one of the top three national tradeshows of its kind in the US.  It is sponsored by Scareparts and is a member of the International Association of Haunted Attractions.  The Midwest Fantasy Show is sponsored by the U.S. Body Painting Festival.
