Hi-Rez Designs was founded by a award winning tv / film / music video Special
Visual Fx artist that has been working in Hollywood for over 20 years. For the
past several years he has been creating stunning & terrifying visual fx for
several major "Haunted Attractions" around the country.
In late 2009, Hi-Rez Designs set out to develop and design a new "triggering
system" that would work with just about any "off the shelf" DVD player. The
result was an incredibly versatile 4 relay circuit capable of detecting an
encoded signal on all Hi-Rez Designs DVDs. This new triggering system allows for
the DVD to activate pneumatic cylinders / valves, turn lights on and off, and
many other functions, all from a standard DVD player.
Hi-Rez Designs is also in the process of developing new digital 5.1 surround
sound "Atmosphere" Audio DVDs. When connected to any 5.1 receiver, these Audio
DVDs will move the sound "around" the room, surrounding your guests with
terrifying ambient sounds and scenarios.
